Caricature Workshops
Caricature is one of the most approachable, joyful and surprisingly revealing art forms out there. Learning to exaggerate a face — to find what makes someone them — is not just great fun, it's genuinely eye-opening. And watching someone discover they can actually draw? That never gets old.
Workshops are available for a wide range of groups and occasions, from corporate team-building days to school art classes, family events to adult creative evenings. Every session is tailored to the group, the setting and what you want to get out of it.
Get in touch to tell me about your group and we'll put together something brilliant.

Draw Your Mate
The ultimate icebreaker. Guests are paired up and guided through the process of drawing each other as caricatures — step by step, with plenty of encouragement (and laughter) along the way. No artistic experience required. Results range from surprisingly impressive to gloriously terrible, and everyone loves it either way.
Ideal for: hen parties, birthday celebrations, creative date nights, friends' nights in Typical
group size: 8–20 people

Team-Building
A genuinely different team-building activity — one that's creative, inclusive and doesn't involve a single trust fall. Participants learn to really look at their colleagues, spot the details, and translate personality onto paper. The results are displayed at the end for a chaotic and memorable group reveal.
It's a session that gets people talking, laughing and seeing each other a little differently — which, when you think about it, is exactly what good team-building should do.
Ideal for: corporate away-days, team events, conference icebreakers, staff parties
Typical group size: 10–30 people
Duration: 2–3 hours

schools
A hands-on art session built around portraiture, proportion and the joy of exaggeration. Students learn to observe facial features, identify what makes a face unique and use mark-making to bring character to life on the page. Sessions can be tailored to different age groups and ability levels, and linked to art & design curriculum objectives.
Ideal for: KS2–KS4 art lessons, school enrichment days, creative curriculum weeks

Run in small groups, so there's plenty of individual attention. Perfect for arts venues, pubs with a creative side, or community spaces.
Ideal for: hobbyist artists, complete beginners, creative social evenings
Typical group size: 6–15 people
Duration: 2 hours
Guided instruction throughout — no one is left staring at a blank page

A relaxed, encouraging atmosphere — ability is irrelevant, enthusiasm is everything
A finished caricature to take home at the end
Plenty of laughs

FAQs
-
Not at all — in fact, complete beginners often have the most fun. The whole point of caricature is that imperfection is part of the style. I'll guide everyone through the process step by step, and by the end, most people are genuinely surprised by what they've managed to produce.
-
Nothing — all materials are provided as standard. If you have a preference for a specific medium (pencil, pen, digital) just mention it when you enquire and we can discuss options.
-
This depends on the format. Sessions typically work best between 8 and 30 participants, but I can accommodate smaller or larger groups depending on the setup. Get in touch with your numbers and we'll figure out the best approach.

Yes — I come to you. Whether that's an office, school, arts space, pub or private venue, I'm set up to deliver workshops in a wide range of locations. I'll just need a space with tables, chairs and decent lighting.

Absolutely — a caricature workshop can make a brilliant birthday party activity for older children and teens. Get in touch with the age group and numbers and I can suggest the right format.
-
Yes — this is a great combination for larger events. A workshop element early in the evening gets people involved and warmed up, while live caricature later in the night keeps the energy going. Get in touch to discuss a combined package.
